The Faulkner Library and Learning Center
The Faulkner Library and Learning Center is a modern, dramatic space alive with student learning and collaboration. Home to a collection of over 25,000 print volumes, the Faulkner library provides a spacious, light filled area where students can study and collaborate. Students use the Faulkner Library throughout the day to work independently or in a small groups. It is rare to find the library empty or extremely quiet.
The Faulkner Library sits at the intersection of the Middle and Upper Schools, placing it at the heart of the campus. The 13,500-square foot library features a light and lofty main reading room, a large flexible meeting space which also serves as a quiet study space for students, study cubicles, and a rotating book display.
The Faulkner Library collection consists of 25,586 print volumes, 20 print magazine subscriptions, over 800 ebooks, special collections including a peace collection, Quaker materials and our school archives. The library subscribes to many online services such as elibrary, JSTOR, Facts on File, World Book Online, Noodletools, Access Science, and Science in Context. Both Middle and Upper School students use these resources in research projects that are integrated into their classwork.

The Lower School Library
The Lower School has its own library for students, located in the center of the Lower School, and library visits and activities are a regular part of lower school life.
The Lower School Library collection houses 13,592 print volumes, 192 audiovisual items and a host of periodical subscriptions.
Library activities and technology classes are thoroughly integrated with the Lower School curriculum. Students from pre-kindergarten through fourth grade visit the library to borrow books, listen to literature read aloud, share their observations about books with each other, and learn new technology skills.
