Friends and Neighbors
We have been located in Jenkintown, Montgomery County, since 1697, and have cultivated deep roots on a sizable green and wooded campus in the heart of a busy suburban community. And more and more, this particular parcel of land on which we sit has become an essential element of our institutional vitality.
Beyond the school day, AFS is a hub of community activity — a place where neighborhood children play soccer and dance, education students get their field experience, area universities gather to share important research and families from the region come together for events and workshops, to experience our bounty of natural resources and to connect with each other.
On and off campus, through service, outreach and engagement, our commitment to being a good neighbor has not only become thoroughly integrated into our students’ education, it also has drawn us into a rich network of partnerships and allowed us to multiply our resources in ways that make our shared community stronger.
