More than 80 alumni returned to the AFS campus for Homecoming 2018. Everyone gathered for breakfast at the Meeting House where Roos reconnected and were excited to catch up with one another. The group then joined the Upper School students and sat together for silent reflection in Meeting for Worship.
After inspirational words from Rich Nourie, the alums went to Student Street for a luncheon including a Philadelphia favorite — cheesesteaks! The day wouldn’t have been complete without the annual musician’s jam in Stewart lobby led by Mark Kraft; the alumni, varsity and faculty co-ed soccer game; or the fun-filled Magic Draft card tournament with Jordan Burkey. The popular RooPRIDE seminar brought faculty and current and former students together to engage people of color and their allies in conversation around mobilizing for change.
