Biography

Sara Lee Cardonick began coaching both boys and girls tennis at Abington Friends in 2007.  She has worked wth AFS’s middle school and JV teams and is currently the Varsity Girls Tennis head coach and an assistant coach for Varsity Boys Tennis.

She learned to play tennis at overnight camp and went on to letter at Cheltenham High School. Sara Lee has a B.S. in Early Childhood Education & an M.Ed in Teaching English as a Second Language from Temple University.

Why Sara Lee coaches at AFS: “I love Abington Friends. The students are wonderful, respectful and willing to learn about tennis and being part of a team. As a coach I am their cheerleader, encouraging them to do the best they can and to not feel down even if playing someone who might be at a higher level.”
