Nature Playdate at Abington Friends School
Saturday, May 4, 10 a.m. – noon.
Attend Nature Playdate for a morning of creating, learning and having fun on the campus of Abington Friend School. Enjoy a family-friendly morning of experiential learning and active play with nature at the core. All activities are an extension of our AFS Outside curriculum that is infused throughout Lower School. Play on our award winning outdoor classroom and join in any of the activities hosted by AFS faculty and volunteers:
Create a bird feeder and/or build planters out of recycled materials
Make your own bubbles
Stamp an original fossil print
Meet some insects
Identify leaves and use them to make some cool creations
Assemble and test a marble run using unique materials
Make sun and vegetable prints
Decorate a fairy house
Take a tour of AFS and/or our 300 tree Arboretum
Admission Tours will take place every half hour between 10 a.m. and noon. You can pre-register for a tour here
No need to RSVP, all events are free and open to the public! Come have fun while celebrating and connecting with the outdoors.
